Gorgeous captures in this series. You can feel the stillness.

Question for Lindsey:

My favorite part about this series is the mood you’ve created with the dim exposures and cool color palette. When you took these, did you set out to create a mood or was that something you thought about after in post-production?

Thank you for the comment i really worked hard on this series and it’s good to hear a compliment from someone who is also into photography. But it was definately something i thought about post-production. When i set out to take the shots it was in the middle of the day so most of these in the beginning were really bright and over exposed. I wanted the a clear focus on the flower or the droplets on the flower, I didn’t want wandering eyes. I felt like the dim exposure brought out the flower’s color better and the detail in it. I felt that the cool color palette really soothes the eye and gives a type of tranquility to the audience as they look through the series.
